Abstract
The development of this test sought to improve the ability to visualize, compare, and measure sintering of monolithic DVMs experiencing unidirectional heat. Extending the lifetime of hearth mixes was broken down into 2 testable variables: reduced total sintered depth and forming a tough sintered layer that resists metal penetration. The test was designed to be comparative and performed alongside other DVM characterization methods. |
